The parts of the mainstructure of the Frank Gehry bridge have been placed on their supports on thefuture banks of the opened-up canal. The parts were manufactured by theengineering firm URSSA in Alava and were transported to Bilbao to be installed.  With the supportsbuilt, the 20 pre-fabricated pieces between 14 and 20 metres long that make upthe bridge can be put in place. March has seen the 40,000th visit to the web since it was redesigned in 2008 and a visitor counter was installed.  The majority of the visitors are from Spain (94%) and the rest come from 87 countries around the world.  The greatest number of international visitsare from France, UK, Germany, USA and Mexico, although there have also been visitors from countries such as Bahrain, Yemen, Nepal, Vietnam or Georgia.
