The Edificio Papelera, one of the buildings renovated under the Zorrotzaurre Project, in this case for cultural activities, has installed a pioneering energy installation to cut heating costs by 50%.

Last week the Mayor of Bilbao, Juan Mari Aburto, took part in the World Council of United Cities and Local and Regional Governments, which is considered the most important global meeting of local and regional governments, that took place in the Chinese city of Hangzhou and which was attended by more than 1,000 authorities.

Today, is the fifth anniversary of the definitive approval, by the Bilbao City Council, of the Special Urban Plan for Zorrotzaurre.
