ZORROTZAURRE
The Management Commission for the Urban Development of Zorrotzaurre founded in 2001 is currently composed of five proprietors from the area working in collaboration to implement the Zorrotzaurre project:
– Public Institutions
o The Regional Basque Government through the Department of Environment, Territotial Planning and Housing and the publicly-owned company Visesa
o The Bilbao City Council
o The Port Authority of Bilbao
– Private entities
o Acciona Inmobiliaria S.L.U.
o Vicinay Cadenas S.A.
o Loiola Gestión Inmobiliaria S.L.
The current members of the Management Commission own 65% of the land in Zorrotzaurre.
Executive decisions are taken by the members of the Board of Directors, representatives, at the highest level, of the property owners. The Management Commission has, at its disposal, a team of three technical officers who can call on diverse external technical services.
