The contract for the works to open up the Deusto Canal and for the new bridge has been awarded.

Bilbao City Council have provisionally awarded the works to open up the Deusto Canal for the building of the Deusto – Zorrotzaurre bridge to the Exbasa, Viuda de Sainz and Urssa Consortium.

The winning consortium tendered a bid for 17.3 million Euros (before VAT) for the contract with a delivery date of 18 months.

9 Consortiums made up of 32 companies presented tenders against an initial bidding price set at 24.2 million Euros (before VAT).
