Definitive approval of the modification to the General Plan in Bilbao for Zorrotzaurre
Today, the Bilbao City Council gave definitive approval to the modification of the General Plan for Urban Planning in Bilbao for Zorrotzaurre. This modification, which affects articles 9.2.9.3 and 9.2.12.1, was provisionally approved by the Council last January 26th.
This modification allows the agreement reached several months ago between the Basque Government and the Bilbao City Council on the financing of the future bridges to link Zorrotzaurre to Deusto and San Ignacio to become effective.
The bridge which will link the future island to Deusto will be financed by the Zorrotzaurre Management Commission, while the bridge linking Zorrotzaurre to San Ignacio will be financed by the Basque Government.
