Fifteen years ago today, the Zorrotzaurre Management Committee decided to commission the Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadidwith the drafting of the Master Plan for the district’s urban regeneration project.

This week building work has begun on the bridge that will join San Ignacio with Zorrotzaurre.The works on this second bridge to Zorrotzaurre, which will be financed by Visesa, are being undertaken by the temporary joint venture formed by the companiesFerrovial-Agroman S.A. and Viconsa S.A. awarded the tender called for this purpose by Visesa (Vivienda y Suelo de Euskadi S.A.).

The Tender Assessment Board of Execution Unit 1 of Zorrotzaurre has awarded the temporary joint venture formed by Viuda de Sainz S.A., Lurgoien S.A. and Jaureguizar Promoción y Gestión Inmobiliaria S.L. the contract for undertaking the urbanisation works of Phase A of the Zorrotzaurre project.
