The Councillor in charge of the Mayor’s Office, Contracting and Human Resources, Gotzone Sagardui took part in the session entitled “How governments and cities can work together to jointly design town-planning policies”, where she presented the Zorrotzaurre Island project as an example of multi-level governance and inclusive and sustainable town planning.

The property developer Mvre has begun marketing the 154 unsubsidised homes that will built in two blocks of 10 and 12 storeys, respectively, on Zorrotzaurre plot SI-5. Building work on these homes is expected to begin in the latter half of this year.

Visesa has announced an invitation for tenders for construction of 104 subsidised homes located on Zorrotzaurre plot SI-2; the call is for a joint bid also including the construction of the social housing project comprising 91 dwellings on plot 1 of Iturribarri-II, in Getxo.
