A new international prize for Zaha Hadid, designer of the Zorrotzaurre Master Plan

Zaha Hadid, designer of the Zorrotzaurre Master Plan has been awarded the Royal Gold Medal for 2016 of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the most prestigious architectural prize in the United Kingdom.

She is, as well, the first woman winner of the prize.

This is one more of the many prizes, including in 2004 the Pritzker (considered the ‘Nobel’ of architecture), won by the anglo-iraqi architect during her career.
