The APB invites tenders for performance of the Deusto canal infill works and disposal of the almost 52.000 m2 of land that will be generated

The Official State Gazette today publishes the invitation to tender by the Bilbao Port Authority for the contract for disposal of the land that will be generated by the infill works to be carried out on Deusto canal. Performance of the infill will give rise to a land plot of almost52.000 m2, which will form part of Zorrotzaurre Integrated Action 2.

The bids will start at €1,451,796.34 (ex. VAT).The contract will be awarded through a patrimonial sales contract on a future asset.

The contract winner will have to:

-Undertake the infill works on the left-hand bank of Deusto canal, with an implementation budgetof €20.66 million (ex. VAT).

– Pay the sale price bid.

– And pay an additional sum of €1.79 million (ex. VAT), for costs and expenses associated withZorrotzaurre.

Once the contract has been completed, the awardee-acquirer may proceed with the urban and property development anticipated in Integrated Action 2 of the Zorrotzaurre Special Plan.

The bids, the deadline for which is 27 September 2018, must be presented in the Bilbao Port Authority General Registry.

The contract is expected to be awarded towards the end of the year with works beginning in early 2019, whereby it is hoped that the Zorrotzaurre Integrated Action 2 project will be concluded by 2022.
