The municipal car pound on Zorrotzaurre will be moved in the coming months to the former Zorrotza abattoir

The mayor of Bilbao, Juan Mari Aburto, has confirmed that the municipal car pound currently located on Zorrotzaure will be moved “in the coming months” to the formerZorrotza abattoir, in the La Landa suburb, where it will located temporarily until a decision is taken regarding a definitive location.

The departure of the car pound from its current site is due to requirements to free up land in Zorrotzaurre Execution Unit 1 to allow it to be urbanised for subsequent construction of housing, office buildings and amenities.
