The tow truck municipal warehouse in Zorrotzaurre will be moved at the end of the year to the former Zorrotza slaughterhouse

The tow truck municipal warehouse in Zorrotzaurre will be moved at the end of the year to the former Zorrotza slaughterhouse, in La Landa neighbourhood. The reconditioning works of the future location were awarded to Viconsa S.A. company by the Governing Board of the Bilbao City Council this Wednesday; therefore, space adaption works will begin soon.

The departure of the tow truck warehouse from its current location has to do with the need to free up land from the Execution Unit 1 in Zorrotzaurre, in order to permit its urbanization and subsequent construction of flats, offices and equipments.

The service is currently located on the land where the first phase of the urbanization of the island has begun.

The new future location meets two objectives: first, to make that area more passable, what will revitalize Zorroza; and second, to permit drivers whose cars have been removed by the tow truck to pick up their vehicles arriving there by public transport.
